Bookkeeper
Job Summary
We’re looking for a sharp, reliable bookkeeper to help keep our financial systems in check as we continue to grow. This role would be part time, ideally 2 days a week in our office, one in the office the second day could be remote.
Individual Artist Management (IAM) is a dynamic, young company representing some of the UK’s most exciting comedy talent across live performance, television, film and digital. We also run a small but busy production arm. As the company expands, we’re looking for someone to take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping and support us in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
The role:
You’ll work two days a week (one from our London office, one from home), supporting the Directors with all things finance. You’ll manage books for multiple entities, keep us VAT-compliant, and ensure our systems are accurate, up-to-date, and clearly presented.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile financial records using accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
Manage income and expenses across various revenue streams (e.g. touring, TV, brand work)
Raise and track invoices, process expenses, and reconcile accounts and bank statements
Prepare a distribute client settlements
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Liaise with external accountants for year-end reporting
Provide reports and insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and general business operations
Maintain clear records for multiple entities, including those that hold money in escrow on behalf of clients (e.g. management fees, production floats)
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
Solid bookkeeping experience – ideally within a creative business (experience with agencies or production companies is a strong plus)
Bonus: Experience handling finances for businesses that hold funds in escrow for clients
Strong knowledge of financial software, particularly QuickBooks
Detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
Confident using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and the wider Microsoft and Google office suites
Familiarity with UK VAT and tax practices
Able to work independently and flag potential issues or inefficiencies
Trustworthy and discreet with sensitive information
