Rose d’Or & British Podcast Awards nominee & character comedy trailblazer Michael Stranney burst onto the UK comedy scene by winning the Hackney New Act of the Year competition in 2015, earning nominations for the BBC New Comedy Award and Chortle Best Newcomer and a finalist in the British Podcast Awards 2021 for Hidden Ireland  .

Known for his vivid character Daniel Duffy, Michael debuted his hit hour Welcome to Ballybeg at Edinburgh Fringe 2017 (Pleasance Courtyard).Michael is one of the most innovative and versatile character comedians to recently hit the scene. His dense joke-driven writing combined with exceptional characterisation makes him a captivating performer. With all his characters he is able to immediately create a vividly evocative and hysterical world the audience becomes totally submerged in.

His exceptional writing has made him a firm favourite in writing rooms and he has an uncanny knack for making viral content with his videos amassing millions of views.
