IAM are looking for a new live comedy producer to work on existing tours and programme upcoming tours for our clients.  IAM is one of the top comedy agencies in the UK and represents a mix of some of the most exciting up and coming talent as well as established names in comedy.  


Additional to touring the role would comprise negotiating live shows on behalf of clients as well as running our Edinburgh Fringe productions.


It’s an exciting, varied job that should allow anyone passionate about comedy to work across a plethora of live events with diverse talent.  


Experience in touring is essential but it is not necessary to have experience in club booking. 


Dates: Starting June/July 

Salary: Dependant on experience 


Duties and responsibilities

  • Touring:

    • Venue booking and scheduling

    • Contracting venues

    • Liaising with external ticketing partners

    • Budgeting – creating budgets for each clients

    • Booking accommodation and travel for artists and crew.

    • Marketing–  registration, advertising, web listings, print design, print distribution, social media advertising, social media updates, sales reports, reviews updates etc

    • Insurance

    • PRS


  • Edinburgh 

    • Contract venues 

    • Schedule shows 

    • Secure marketing 

    • Hiring a team (such as street team manager, PR etc)


  • Booking flights, hotels, arranging visas and coordinating productions within budget

  • Assisting with and activating artist press and marketing including social media on various platforms


Person specification:


  • Experience in live events and touring including relationships with regional venues across the UK

  • Experience of producing work at the Edinburgh Fringe and willing to work from Edinburgh each August.

  • Extremely good administrative, time management and scheduling skills

  • Good social media skills.

  • Versatility, attention to detail and able to work unsupervised / under pressure

  • Proactive and positive approach to work in a professional manner.


Desirable Skills


  • Knowledge of photoshop or similar design software

  • PR experience 

  • Knowledge of the UK live comedy circuit 

  • Experience working directly with talent 

  • Knowledge of international touring opportunities.


Salary starting at £25,000 a year

We are looking for a highly organised individual to join our team and assist agents in managing our comedy talent.  We are keen to find someone with a passion for comedy who is keen to forge a career in talent management.


Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and administrative skills, with a particular flair for clear, professional writing. Additionally they need to have good numerical skills and ideally some  experience working in an office environment. They should be comfortable with performing a lot of varied tasks quickly. Social media skills are an asset.


The role would be based in our office in Hackney Wick but you will also be expected to attend comedy shows, gigs and screenings in the evenings. 


Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Answering and forwarding calls, taking messages

  • Dealing with confidential information sensitively and with discretion.

  • Maintaining diaries for Agents and Clients.

  • Coordinating meetings.

  • Managing client invoicing; raising invoices, chasing payment & tracking remittance.

  • Daily maintenance of the agency database and client folders.

  • Grammar checking and proofreading

  • Attending client gigs as artist liaison.

  • Writing and keeping all client biographies up to date.

  • Managing company website and social media, responding to correspondence and all public enquiries.

  • Booking couriers and travel for staff and clients.



  • Monday to Friday, regular business hours (10am to 6pm)

  • Some overtime
